Logline:

Can a mismatched cheer squad led by Cassidy a national champion “flyer” adapt their skills to a sudden, relentless apocalypse?  It’s teen spirit against the undead. May the best squad win.

Synopsis:

The world’s water supply has been tainted.  The origin is a mystery.  An ancient cult or a modern recombinant DNA lab may be behind one of the largest extinction events in the history of the world.  The transformation of the urban centers happened overnight.

High in the mountains above, the girls at the elite cheer camp “Rah Rah Springs”, run by a MYSTERIOUS CARETAKER are completely unaware.  They do get a strange visit before they were supposed to go home.  A new girl (Sara) is dropped off at the gates.  Why does she appear on the last night of camp? Who is she? There is no time to investigate for there is something far more sinister in the air on this night – the busses didn’t show.

Team Captain Cassidy has her eyes on the prize.  She’s been tumbling, training, and flying her whole life for this year.  This is the year.  Even when the world crumbles around her, her first thought is that she can’t believe that she will not get the chance to be a state champion.

Cassidy and number two, Taylor (17) have been hazing all of the new recruits.  On the final night, they get their revenge by “kidnapping” Cassidy and making her sleep in the newbie cabin.  It’s farther up the hill, and away from the main camp.  It has no plumbing, and no vanity mirrors.  They think it is hell on earth until the morning.

The next morning they are called to the field for line-up.  Cabins smolder.  All of the buildings are in ruin.  Only the one cabin survived the night.  The Caretaker stands wounded in the field blowing a whistle.  He pushed the zombie hoard back for the time being, but he is hurt and cannot protect them against the next wave.

Rah is an ancient Kanji symbol for war.  The Caretaker is the last of a line of great spirit warriors.  He must teach those who have spirit, to kill those who have none
